About Belleville Elementary
At Belleville Elementary School our mission is to serve ALL kids. We believe in prioritizing the whole child so they feel loved, valued, and have a sense of belonging. We envision a school with high academic achievement, commitment to collaboration and learning, attention to equity, and strong community connections.
Belleville Elementary School hosts 4K through Sixth grade with approximately 540 students and provides big-school opportunities in a safe, student-centered, welcoming environment that one would expect in a small town. With average class sizes of 18-20 students per classroom, staff members are able to provide hands-on and differentiated instruction for all children. In addition, we offer specialized, research-based reading programs as well as tailored support for advanced learners.
Staff members are provided with research-based, on-site professional development on a monthly basis to best serve our students in all content areas. Our school has certified instructional coaches who are instrumental in working with staff to develop and refine highly effective practices for learners. Students experience reading instruction with the Being a Reader curriculum, writing instruction with the Being a Writer curriculum, (both from Collaborative Classroom), explore hands-on activities through Project Lead the Way, and engage in mathematics with the Bridges curriculum.
Along with a strong academic program, there are many opportunities for our students to learn about music, technology, art, physical education, social emotional health, and library science.
We welcome you to the School District of Belleville, and we invite you to visit our school to see what a wonderful place it is! It’s always a great day to be a Wildcat!
